How do I book?
Send us a WhatsApp message on +255 787 558 850 with the tour, your date, the number of guests and where you are staying. A real person replies and confirms the plan with you. You can also use the booking form on this page; it simply opens WhatsApp with your details filled in. Our Zanzibar, Mikumi, Aya Sophia, South Beach and Zanzibar island day trips, the Dar day trip from Zanzibar and our Dar es Salaam city tours can also be booked and paid online on their tour pages (secure payment by Stripe); Nairobi and Addis Ababa layover tours are booked online on nairobilayover.com and addisababalayover.com.
How do I get my confirmation?
When you pay online you get an instant booking confirmation by email right after payment, sent to the email address you enter at checkout. We then message you on WhatsApp with your pickup details.
Do you pick me up from my hotel?
Yes for the Zanzibar and Mikumi day trips (pickup and drop-off at your hotel in Dar es Salaam), the City Sightseeing Tour, the night tour and the South Beach trip. The Old Town Walking Tour meets at the Golden Tulip City Centre lobby. For the Food Tour and Tuk-Tuk & Sunset Tour we confirm the meeting point when you book. Transfers to Aya Sophia are available at additional cost.
What do I need to know for the Zanzibar day trip?
Hotel pickup is 06:00–06:30 AM and the economy-class ferry leaves at 07:30 AM; you are back at your hotel around 7:00–7:30 PM. Zanzibar insurance is NOT included: it costs USD 44 per person. Bring your passport.
How does the Mikumi safari work in one day?
Hotel pickup at 05:00 AM for the 06:00 AM SGR train to Morogoro. We pick you up at Morogoro station at 08:00 AM, stop for breakfast and drive to Mikumi National Park for game drives and lunch (10:30 AM–4:30 PM). The 7:30 PM train brings you back to Dar, with hotel drop-off around 9:00–9:30 PM. Park entry fees are included.
What ages count as children for Aya Sophia?
Children 5–12 years are USD 60; adults are USD 105. Transfers are at additional cost, animal feeding is TZS 25,000, paid locally in TZS, professional photoshoots are charged separately, and guests are not allowed to bring food.
Are the tours private or shared?
The Zanzibar and Mikumi day trips run as join-in groups (price per person goes down as the group grows) or as a private trip. Our Dar es Salaam short tours run in small groups, and the Zanzibar island tour is private. The night tour is a small group of up to 6 guests.
How much do the day trips cost for my group?
Zanzibar and Mikumi are priced per person by group size: from USD 199 per person for 5+ guests, up to USD 330 (Zanzibar) or USD 450 (Mikumi) for a private solo trip. Every tier is listed on the tour pages.
Can you do something on a layover in Nairobi or Addis Ababa?
Yes. In Nairobi, Nairobi National Park's East Gate is about 10 km from JKIA; you need a Kenya eTA to leave the airport. In Addis Ababa, your guide waits at the Bole Airport exit gate with your name, for a private 4–10 hour tour. Do you organise international trips and visas?

Can I cancel a tour?
Yes: tours have free cancellation up to 24 hours before the start time, with a full refund to the card or payment method you paid with. See our Cancellation & Refund Policy.
Can I change or cancel a Zanzibar ferry ticket?
Ferry tickets are sold by our brand Zanzibar Ferry. Their change and refund rules are on zanzibarferry.com (Cancellation & Refund page). Tours booked here have free cancellation up to 24 hours before the start time.
Which currency are prices in?
Prices are shown in US dollars and/or Tanzanian shillings as published for each tour. Message us if you'd like the price in the other currency.
